Local Transport
Grindleford is well served by transport links being on good bus routes and also on the Hope Valley railway line.
The typical off-peak service from the railway station is one train every two hours to Sheffield and one to Manchester Piccadilly. This is increased on Saturdays to one train per hour.
On Sundays there is a train every two hours in each direction for most of the year, but a near-hourly service operates from May to September.
East Midlands Trains call here with the first service of the day to Manchester and also on the final return working. All other services are provided by Northern Rail.
Buses run to Bakewell, Sheffield, Matlock and all stations in between.
